The Full Story
Over 300 delegates from across the aviation industry were gathered in Geneva on 16 and 17 September for the 5th edition of the Air Transport Action Group’s (ATAG) Aviation & Environment Summit. ATAG is the only global organisation to represent all sectors of the aviation industry and the focus of this year’s Summit was to assess the progress on the industry-wide targets to reduce aviation emissions. Continuous reaffirmation of industry collaboration and unity remains crucial considering how aviation stakeholders have been on the forefront in terms of presenting global targets to the world's governments in ICAO and UNFCCC. Such reaffirmation was evident and is reflected in the Summit communiqué.
