CORSIA - short for the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation - is the world's first global scheme to offset the growth in international aviation CO2 after 2020.

Ensuring quality of offsets
The types of offsets that will be eligible under CORSIA will determine the quality and effectiveness of the scheme. Only carbon offsets certified under programs that meet internationally agreed environment criteria will be eligible.
